De school zonder dak en schoolmeubilair. De school bestaat uit twee gebouwen. Eén met en één zonder dak. Het is een basisschool waar nu 175 kinderen op zitten. De school heeft 4 lokalen, waarvan de helft dus zonder dak en meubilair.
A school without a roof or furniture. 175 Pupils attend this primary school. Of the two buildings, only one has a roof. The school has four classrooms, two of which don’t have a roof or desks and chairs.
Hoe het begon
How it started
Februari 2020 bezochten wij, leerlingen van het Maartenscollege en docenten, de school in Zimbabwe. Een school met heel weinig middelen. Waar de meeste leerlingen niet over een verplicht uniform beschikten. Met onze kerstactie “All I want for Christmas is Uniform” konden alle leerlingen een nieuwe uniform krijgen. De actie was een groot succes en met het extra geld konden we ook schoolspullen voor hen aanschaffen. De school heeft ons hart gestolen en volgend jaar, 2022, willen we graag weer op bezoek. Met dit jaar acties voor een dak en schoolmeubilair. Hiervoor hebben we 10 000 dollar nodig. Helpt u mee?
In February 2020, students and teachers from Maartenscollege visited this school in Zimbabwe. The school and its attendees do not have many means. Most pupils don’t own a mandatory school uniform. Thanks to our fundraiser “All I want for Christmas is Uniform”, all pupils could be provided with new uniforms. The fundraiser was a big success and with the extra money we were able to give some necessary school equipment (pencils, notebooks etc.). Donga Primary School has stolen all of our hearts, and in 2022 we would love to visit them again. This time we want to finance a roof and school furniture. We need 10 000 dollars for this. Will you help raise the sum that Donga Primary School needs?
